Sophie & Harps English Sikh Fusion Wedding
Essex Wedding Photographer

Sophie & Harps’ woodland wedding at Gilwell Hall in Epping Forest, Essex was a fantastic day. This wedding was a lot of fun to photograph as I knew it would be the first time I met them over coffee at Costa one Sunday morning to discuss their plans for the big day.

Sophie & Harps included a great mix of traditional English and Asian wedding traditions, as well as some unique twists which I haven’t seen before, my favourite of which was their doughnut wedding cake tower (Krispy Kreme, which got a 10/10 from me)!

All the wooden wheelbarrows, games and signposts were all handcrafted by our groom, and Sophie’s eye for detail and steady painting hand gave the day it’s feminine touch. I think you’ll agree, it’s an effort to be proud of.

Being such a sunny day, the guests had a wonderful time out in the sunshine, and it was a great spot to capture some lovely portraits of guests with their families. Of course, being Sikh, the night ended on the dancefloor, won by Sophie, our very own dancing-queen.
